My name is Nikita (Nick, Niče) and biographies are not my strong point.
I'm a fourth-generation Russian-American who cares deeply for his heritage, but not so much that I'm blind to imperialism. I live on a ranch in Northern California and take care of 10 goats. I was born in San Francisco and was raised nearby, though, so you'll have to drag the city out of me kicking and screaming.
I speak three languages and would love to learn more. I'm in uni as a communications major currently, but am considering switching to anthropology to study linguistics. Once I settle with the site's theming I'm going to work on re-uploading some of my work, since my translations are part of the reason I even maintain this in the first place. My conversational skills are bunk, but you can try talking to me.
I have no manifesto or "ideology" about the internet. I think everyone can agree the current state of the internet is bad, whether you prefer the more modern aesthetics of today or the charming confusion of Web 1.0. I'm not fully against censorship (most people truly aren't) but I do believe you should generally be able to do whatever you want.
My only "thing" is that I hate digital rights management, including Steam. I check other digital storefronts like GOG or Itch.io before resorting to piracy—I don't play super recent games, so it's not as much of a moral dilemma for me.
