АРАШАН

In 1975 near the Kyrgyz philharmonic society, well-known singer K.Kojomkulov organized the vocal-instrumental ensemble (VIA) 'Арашан' (Araşan). The new collective's repertoire compiled Kyrgyz songs and USSR composers' instrumental works.

'Арашан' performed in concerts in the Far East, in cities in the RSFSR and other Soviet republics. Having taken part in pop singing compilations and festivals hand in Sochi and Bulgaria, K.Kojomkulov was awarded the title of laureate. In 1980, VIA 'Арашан' was reorganized in the vocal-instrumental ensemble 'Наристе' consisting of 16 people under management of V.A.Pruglo.
