PC88-BITS - SEIKO-CHAN SOS

DESCRIPTION

Seiko-chan SOS (jp. ビショウジョSOS OR 聖子ちゃんSOS) is an adult shooter game developed and released by Cosmic Soft in 1983. The game certainly shows its age, however it is a pretty fun time-killer.

The title character, Seiko, is kidnapped by robots, and it's up to you to save her. When you kill the required amount of robots for each stage, she removes one piece of clothing. After she's naked, the game restarts and gets faster, and the pattern of Seiko's underwear changes. At least she has good hygeine...

GAMEPLAY

The gameplay is pretty simple. You control the crosshair with the numpad, and are supposed to shoot x amount of robots within about three minutes. If done succesfully, Seiko will remove an article of clothing, and you'll procee to the next level. The robots' only weak point is on their chest. The robots also move a bit faster each stage, which can be frustrating when you don't have the GRPH key on your keyboard. To shoot, hit the spacebar. The game has a fantranslation if you need one, but the controls are pretty intuitive and all Seiko says is 'I took off my (clothing) for you'.

RESOURCES

There is some gameplay footage on YouTube, though it's not very entertaining to watch. You can undoubtedly find the game somewhere on the internet, and it may even be available to play in-browser somewhere, since it was also available on the FM-7.

Trivia

This appears to be Cosmic Soft's only game. If it's not, please tell me, since I am actually interested in seeing what else this person or group made.
