KING RAT'S COMPUTER DEN
CHIPMUSIC
Trackers are a bit difficult for me to comprehend, so I mostly do my best to make chipmusic in FL Studio. I've downloaded a couple VSTs that emulate chips, but so far the only one I've liked is ymVST. It emulates the YM2149, which was first used on the Atari ST. If you don't know, it's basically a modified version of the AY.
PERSONAL COMPOSITIONS
When trying out new instruments/VSTs/soundfonts, I usually will recreate some of my OC compositions for them to get a feel of how they work. The first one is usually always the one for Katyusha, since I think of hers first. However, since I prefer to mimic the limitations of an actual Atari, I ended up later trying it out with a simpler composition, since I knew I would struggle less with just three channels.

I'm interested in making more of these, so stay tuned!
PHANTASY STAR II TEXT ADVENTURES ymVST COVERS
When I first got the chip, I wanted to recreate some of my favourite game themes in a way that would be loyal to the average microcomputer. This meant I could only use three channels, which was kind of annoying. I tried my best to do the same shenanigans that programmers would do in the day (though, in a much different environment and arguably having a much easier time).
I'm not done undertaking this project, but here is what I have so far:
