Let's listen

KING RAT RADIO

I'm not sure how one goes from casual listener to having such a deep and meaningful relationship with music, but it happened to me. I grew up listening to rock from the 70's and 80's thanks to my dad, but my mom has basically always listened to country. I was huge into American wartime music in middle school, but somehow ended up on a Soviet binge in early high school.

At some point I took a huge shift and now mostly listen to synth-pop in pretty much every language that isn't English. Even though my taste is very samey, I'll listen to just about anything at least once, even if it isn't something I would casually listen to while working. I'm absolutely not the person to look to when needing opinions on music, though... the only genres I actively dislike are modern country and disco polo.

My love for music has guided my language learning for basically ever, and I think it culminates in /prevod. Not only do I enjoy most of the songs I've translated, but I also translate information about artists into English as an act of love, sharing the information with a new set of people.

It's also going to be JUST AS NEGLECTED because I need to push this site update through before I KILL MYSELF over it
